Chili Recipe
2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic, I usually sprinkle some garlic powder in1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
2 TBS chili powder
1 ½ tsps ground cumin
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 can (15 oz) kidney or pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1. Cook beef over medium heat until brown; drain
2. Mix beef and remaining ingredients except for beans in 3 ½ to 6 quart slow cooker
3. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours
4. Stir in beans. Cover and cook on high for 15-20 minutes or until slightly thickened
